Organically-farmed red ginseng root powder (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer).
Use : Dilute the equivalent of one dosing spoon (approx. 1g) in a cup of hot water or tea. Sweeten with honey as preferred. To use for consecutive periods of one month.
The amazing Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer plant (otherwise known as Asian ginseng) has grown in China for thousands of years. The genus name Panax comes from the Greek words Pan (meaning "all") and Akos (meaning "cure"). The term ginseng, meanwhile, is derived from the Chinese words Gin ("man") and Seng ("essence").
Organic ginseng
Our ginseng powder is organically produced from roots aged six years. The variety used (Panax C.A. Meyer) is the only kind recognized by the European Pharmacopoeia. To merit the label "organically farmed", the produce is grown without the use of synthetic chemicals. Organic producers apply techniques based on the recycling of natural organic matter and crop rotation. The use of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and their by-products is totally prohibited in organic agriculture. Organic farming produces excellent quality food.
Quality and control
Independent, accredited and recognized European laboratories systematically carry out testing at our request. The excellent quality of the ginseng we supply is therefore well proven.
- Red ginseng
The roots are washed and steamed before being dried in the sun for several days. After this process, the roots take on a wonderful red colour.
Our organic ginseng is certified by Qualité-France, an independent certifying organization approved by the French authorities.
Composition
Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer root contains:
- Carbohydrates: heterosides are the main active ingredients (ginsenosides)
- Lipids: in the form of triglycerides
- Proteins: in the form of amino acids, of which the majority is arginine
- Mineral elements: Cobalt, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Silica, Vanadium
- Vitamins: B1 (Thiamin), B2 (Riboflavin), B3/PP, B5, B6, B8/H, B12, C and E
- Enzymes: Amylase, Invertase and Phenolase
- Other important constituents: Choline, Panacene, Oestrogens, Phytosterols, nucleic acid bases and nucleosides.
